Mawgan Porth beach lies in a sheltered bay on the coastal strip between Newquay and Padstow. This area is known for the quality of its beaches, making both Newquay and Padstow two of Cornwall's most popular holiday destinations.

Mawgan Porth's location, just a few kilometres north of Newquay means that the beach is not as well known as some of its neighbours ( Fistral, Porth, Tolcarne, and Crantock) but it has a lot to offer families staying in this part of Cornwall.
