Newquay has many attractions in an around the centre. The Blue Reef Aquarium is fantastic for the young and old. Watch and learn about the local inhabitants to the fish and other creatures that are homed in the deep sea.

Newquay Zoo offers home to many exotic and strange creatures, and also the more cute and cuddly animals. With opportunities to watch Lions or penguins being fed to encountering some of the more tropical animals, Newquay Zoo is fun for all the famiy.

Within an hours drive from Newquay you can visit other well known towns like St Ives, Padstow and Perranporth, along with other attractions like Lappa Valley, Dairyland, Trebah Gardens and the famous Eden Project.

For those who enjoy fishing there are plenty of locations around Newquay for you to fish. Whether it is from a beach or a headland, there are many types of fish that you could land. Wrasse, Pollack, Eel, Mackerel or maybe even a dogfish. There is the option to have a day or half day excursion from the Harbour or shark fishing trips.

With all this talk of the energetic activities, you will be glad to know that Newquay is also great for Golf and Horse Riding. Walking is another great activity for all ages and abilities as Newquay is right on the South West Coastal Path. Walks can take you to Holywell Bay with its expansive, rugged headlands, or venture to Padstow for its stacks and famous surfing beaches.
