South East Cornwall and The Tamar Valley have good access to the A30 and A38 so we are ideally located to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. Looe on the south coast with its harbour and beach is 12 miles away. The historic maritime city of Plymouth is only seventeen miles distant. Enjoy river trips from the barbican and perhaps visit the National Marine Aquarium and many other attractions.
South East Cornwallis a wonderful base to explore both Bodmin Moor and to enjoy country pursuits such as walking - there are plenty of well marked footpaths near to our site taking you through the wooded valley by the river Lynher. Riding there are stables nearby. Why not try Clay Pigeon shooting (professional tuition available). Fishing Siblyback Lake is 6 miles away - it offers trout fishing and a wide range of other activities including water sports and equipment hire. Bodmin Moor is a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty and a Mining Heritage Site it is ideal for either the serious walker or the less energetic. Bodmin Moor has a Dark Sky - visitors find out how many stars are visible in the Milky Way.
Sterts Theatre and Arts Centre is about a mile away from our site where you can find drama and music in a canopy-covered moorland amphitheatre. The Caradon Inn at Upton Cross serves food - there are several other pubs in the area including The Manor House Inn at Rilla Mill. We are surrounded by villages which provide P Os village stores, tea rooms and farm shops. Three major towns are all within eight miles with supermarkets which can deliver orders to our site.
