Crackington Haven - North Cornwall
Two Holiday Cottages in a stunning setting
RETIRED ADVERT
With grounds of just over four acres,
Coombe Cottages are situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty,
less than 300 yards from the beach.
The cottages are detached, overlooking a small stream and
have their own fenced gardens. Each cottage has a patio, picnic table
and barbecue and easy parking is available right outside, well away from
the road.
Along the private drive leading to the cottages there is
a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
LITTLE
COOMBE Sleeps 2
A cosy stonebuilt cottage and sleeps two people. It has
an open fire (as well as night storage radiators), television with DVD/CD
player, radio and iPod dock.
Sitting at the dining room table you overlook the river
with views out to sea and the rugged cliffs of Penkenna.
The garden can be a real sun trap and is completely private.
RIVERCOOMBE Sleeps
4
Rivercombe Cottage sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms (one
double and one twin). The Holiday Cottage has an open fire, night storage
radiators and television with DVD/CD player and radio.
A slightly more open outlook towards the sea and cliffs
than Little Coombe, the garden is bordered by open fields and the resident
friendly sheep will usually wander over to say hello.
Pets are more than welcome to join their owners on holiday
at Coombe Cottages although they are not allowed on the beach between
Easter Day and 1st October.
Crackington
Haven Beach
The beach at Crackington Haven is overlooked by towering
cliffs and is generally sandy at low tide with numerous rock pools to
explore. Lifeguard cover is present during the main summer months and
the beach is good for swimming or surfing.
At the top of the beach there are two cafes and our local
pub to choose from, and just under a mile up the hill, the village shop
and Post Office. The South West Coastpath runs through Crackington Haven
and many superb walks can be had in either direction and there are also
wooded valleys to explore. There is a tennis club with probably the best
positioned courts you will find anywhere and daily or weekly membership
can be obtained locally.
If you want to explore a little, picturesque Boscastle
and King Arthur's Tintagel are both a short drive and for Doc Martin fans,
Port Isaac is not much further. Also, a trip to The Eden Project is something
not to be missed and there is much of interest to discover on Bodmin Moor.
