The Isles of Scilly are a group of islands about 28 miles south-west of Land's End. St Mary's is the largest island and the arrival point for most visitors.

Every island has its own white-sand beaches, from Porthcressa on St Mary's to the bays of Tresco, Bryher, St Martin's and St Agnes.

The nearest railway station is Penzance, at the end of the main line from London Paddington. From there the Scillonian ferry sails to St Mary's in season, and Skybus flights run from Land's End Airport.
