Land's End
Sennen, Cornwall · England's Most Westerly Point
Land's End, Sennen, Cornwall, TR19 7AA | Tel: 01736 871501
Land's End is the most westerly point of mainland England, a dramatic clifftop headland near the village of Sennen where the Atlantic Ocean stretches unbroken towards the horizon. Whether you're on holiday in Cornwall or out for the day with family or friends, it's one of the South West's genuinely iconic places to visit - and the natural clifftop, coastal paths and famous signpost are free to enter, with parking the only charge.
Family-friendly paths trace the clifftops above the waves, carved over millennia by the Atlantic swell. Keep an eye out for soaring seabirds and, with a little luck, the resident basking sharks, seals and dolphins that pass close to shore. Beyond the famous signpost, Land's End is also home to a cluster of pay-as-you-go attractions: Aardman Presents: A Grand Experience, The Lost Treasure of Lyonesse golf adventure, the Jolly Roger 4D Film Experience, the End to End Story exhibition, and Greeb Farm, a restored 200-year-old farm with animals to meet.
The Visitor Centre, shops, catering outlets and the four main family attractions are open daily from 10am, while the coastal paths and the wider Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are accessible year-round, whatever the season. It's worth allowing a few hours to properly explore - beyond the headline attractions, there are cafes, a restaurant and bar, gift shops, and plenty of clifftop walking if you want to stretch your legs further along the coast path towards Sennen Cove or Porthcurno.
