Crantock Beach is a truly tremendous stretch of sand - at least as good as any of the more famous beaches in nearby Newquay but without the masses of tourists and surfers.

The sandy beach is massive and dotted with small pools for crab hunting. High cliffs protect bathers from any wind, but waves still come crashing in for body boarders and wannabe surfers. There's lifeguard cover over the summer months.
