Beach View holiday bungalows and caravans are situated in a magnificent position and have uninterrupted and breathtaking views over Porth Joke, a sandy cove, which is just a short walk across Cubert Common. Owned by the National Trust, Cubert Common has been classified in nature convervation terms as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and of Special Scientific Interest (SSI). A great deal of wildlife can be seen, as well as some very rare plants. The Common consists of approximately 600 acres of completely unspoiled countryside, undulating grassland with small pockets of sand dunes which extend out to Kelsey Head, from which one can survey some of the most dramatic scenery on Cornwall's North Coast. Porth Joke Cove is situated between Crantock Beach and Holywell Bay, and it is a beautiful and secluded location with bathing and surfing. There are inland fresh water lakes and rivers for fishing. |
