Recently renovated, both properties retain
their original character with stone walls, beams, cobbles, slate, granite
and wood floors. Both have their own unique charm, they are beautifully
furnished and decorated throughout with wood burning stove, column radiators,
bathrooms with freestanding bath and shower room.
Mill Barn - was converted
from the farm's two-storey granary store. It sleeps six plus one small
child. As you enter upstairs, the large open plan living area of kitchen
and lounge with comfy sofas, has its original high-beamed ceiling and
great views across the Allen Valley towards the coast. There is also a
separate games room for adults to relax in or children to play in. The
downstairs bedrooms consist of a main double bedroom with original granite
floor and grain sill. Along the cobbled hallway are two twin rooms. At
one end is a large bathroom with luxury freestanding bath on original
slate floor, at the other, a large shower room with mosaic tiled shower
cubicle. Mill Barn has its own outdoor covered terrace with adjacent BBQ,
shared grass area and our own private woodland.
Stable Cottage -
Once the old stable block this large single story barn sleeps four
plus one small child. As you enter the granite hallway turns to a
spacious open plan living area of kitchen and lounge, with its original
high-beamed ceiling and granite floor. The bedrooms consist of a big main
double bedroom, ensuite shower room with mosaic tiled shower cubicle and
twin room. There is also a large bathroom with luxury freestanding bath
on the original slate floor. Stable Cottage has its own outdoor courtyard
BBQ area, shared grass area and our own private woodland.
Within easy reach of the North Cornish Coast, surfing at
Polzeath, sailing or fishing at Rock, sandcastles at Daymer
Bay, cycling along the famous Camel Trail, moor land and coastal
walks.
Nearby are Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bodmin Moor
and the historic fishing village of Port Isaac, as seen in Doc
Martin TV series. Only half an hour from the Eden Project and
40 minutes from The Lost Gardens of Heligan and many of the great
Gardens of Cornwall. There are many local attractions for sunny or rainy
days.
