The property had been modernised to provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in this quiet heart of Cornwall. Within easy reach of the coast and moorland it is the ideal base for a relaxing break.

The Old School House is a converted Victorian School, was built in 1838 on the edge of the unspoilt moorland village of Cardinham. It was the local school and school house until 1881 when the current school was opened. Since then it was a post office on the First World War, a cobblers shop and now a private residence.

Sympathetically updated by the present owners The Old School House offers a comfortable home and a quiet holiday retreat on the edge of the moorland village of Cardinham. There is off road parking for visitors and free Wifi. Guests are welcome to relax in the

Cardinham is about a mile from the main A30 trunk road and an ideal base for north and south coasts, touring, cycling, walking and bird watching. Places to visit within half-an-hour by car include: The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, the National Trust property of Lanhydrock, Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway, the pretty little port of Fowey, Port Isaac and Padstow, and Wadebridge.Cardinham Woods is ten minutes away offering lovely woodland walks and exciting cycle trails as well as a very good café and coffee shop. Bodmin Moor is about two miles away with its wonderful scenery, ancient monuments, unspoilt moorland and villages.
