St George's Country House is an exclusive country house situated in its own grounds overlooking Perranporth, a picturesque town in the heart of Cornwall, boasting its famous 3 mile stretch of golden beach. From the house you can enjoy outstanding views of the surrounding countryside and we are only minutes from the coastal footpaths, making it an ideal base for touring and sightseeing in Cornwall.
The resident owners, Sue and Sharon, offer a warm, relaxed family atmosphere. We have a licensed bar and bistro offering Home cooked, locally sourced and organic food wherever possible. We also grow many of our vegetables and have our own free range Chickens. We are environmentally conscious, have Solar water heating and we are proud members of the Coast project.
St George's Country House can also provide the perfect setting for events and functions. The whole hotel can be booked for such occasions, we can sleep up to 23 and cater for around 60 people

Bistro
The bistro at St Georges reflects the wholesomeness of the experience of staying in this country house. Locally sourced, fresh, natural, home made and home grown are words that can be used to describe the food served.
The day starts with a breakfast table laden with such things as home made muesli, bread and preserves. It continues with a bar menu including home made soup, home made crab cakes and burgers. The evening menu adds a selection of chef's home made specials which often include freshly caught local fish. What more could one want?
Self Catering Cottage...
Staying in the lovely self contained, but attached, cottage at St Georges is truly the best of both worlds. Guests have the choice of keeping themselves to themselves and being totally self-catering or, if they wish to treat themselves, they can book breakfast or an evening meal in the hotel bistro.
The accommodation of the cottage comprises a double and triple bedroom each with their own modern shower rooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and fridge freezer. Freeview flat screen televisions can be found in the triple room and sitting room and guests may use the gardens and bar of the hotel at their leisure.

SURF
Piran Surf sits just a few yards back from the beach in Perranporth. This shop has catered for surfers and water users since 1971 and is well renowned as one of the most professional surf outlets in the country. With exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff and a massive array of surf gear it is a "must see" shop. With over 1000 wetsuits in stock and in rental and a sweet selection of boards for all abilities, this is the place to visit for the all round Cornish surf experience.
