St Giles is a charming, traditional cottage, built in 1790
and set in a lovely private garden with wooded area.
St Giles has been lovingly refurbished with all bedrooms
having either en suite or private bathroom, TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities.
There is also now a comfortable, cosy lounge for you to relax in and a
light, airy conservatory for you to have breakfast.
A short walk down Gonvena Hill will take you into town
were you will find plenty of interesting shops, good pubs and restaurants
serving excellent local food.
The Camel Trail is
nearby with beautiful views along the river estuary to Padstow, where
you can join the Coastal Footpath, or a lovely ride by the side of the
pretty River Camel to Bodmin. Cycles are available for hire locally by
the day or week. Padstow with Rick Steins Seafood Restaurant is only ten
minutes by car. The Heligan Gardens and the Eden Project with its extraordinary
Bio Domes are a short drive away. After few minutes drive along the coast
you will find wonderful long stretches of sandy beach at Rock with sailing,
windsurfing and waterskiing plus some good restaurants and cafés. A little
further around the coast there are some great surfing beaches including
Polzeath.

with Jamie Oliver's Restaurant are only 10 mins by car. Port
Isaac, where Doc Martin and Saving Grace were filmed
is only 10 minutes away by car.
The extraordinary Biodomes of the Eden
Project and the Heligan Gardens
are only 20 mins away. 5 mins down the coast you will find wonderful long
stretches of sandy beach at Rock with sailing, windsurfing and waterski-ing
available plus some good restaurants and café. A little further around
the coast we have some great surfing beaches including Polzeath.
If you love Golf, there are plenty of courses to choose
from. Roserrow Golf and Leisure club,
where you can enjoy their tennis and pool facilities and St
Enodoc, a challenging links course over looking the Camel estuary
- both courses only 10 mins away.
Wadebridge is the perfect
base for exploring the rest of Cornwall as it is situated at the top of
the north coast close to the main A30 into Cornwall. It is also only 20
mins to Bodmin Parkway train station and Newquay Airport.
How to find us...
From A30 Bodmin:
Follow signs all the way to Wadebridge. At the roundabout turn left towards
Wadebridge (1st exit).
From A39 Camelford:
Follow signs to Wadebridge, at the roundabout go straight over towards
Wadebridge (2nd exit).
Continue over the next small roundabout past the school
on your right and take the next right into St Giles and Gonvena, take
the next right again and then right into St Giles cottage drive.
