Smugglers Watch sleeps 7 people
Smugglers Watch is a unique, 16/18th century, detached
property, situated in the historic hamlet of Bossiney - whose MP was Sir
Francis Drake. Originally an old Revenue House, it was later extended
to create a spacious property with unusual varying floor levels.
This character cottage offers a memorable summer or winter
holiday retreat in an area renowned for its stunning coastline. Original
features include 4ft thick stone walls, a Jacobean inglenook fireplace/Rayburn
and beamed ceilings. The large dining room is perfect for lively family
gatherings, or enjoys quiet evenings by the fire in the snug lounge. A
nautical theme sails through the ground floor, with an interesting selection
of sea-faring objects.
Upstairs the main bedrooms have lovely sea views Dry stonewalls
border the pretty front garden and a gate leads to the fully enclosed
rear garden, with patio. The sandy beach at Bossiney Haven is within walking
distance, via cliff steps, and is popular for surfing and its abundant
bird life.
This area is ideal for walking and a Heritage Coast Circular
walk begins at Bossiney. Visit nearby Tintagel to learn about the mystery
and legend of King Arthur. For a fascinating day out, visit The Eden Project,
with its gigantic rain forest and desert biomes. Nearby there are excellent
golf courses including Bowood, only five miles away. It is approximately
100yds from the footpath to Bossiney Cove Beach. The local shops, Restaurants
and Pubs are within a half mile.

beautiful walks over the cliffs to suit all abilities and a quarter of
a mile away, a waterfall descends to the beach below. There is a beach
at nearby Trevigue called 'Strangles' with breath-taking clifftop scenery,
and well worth the climb! There are three bedrooms at the B&B, all of
which have their own individual charm and wonderful panoramic views.
