and unique serpentine rocks. East Kennack Sands beach is one of
Cornwall's few beaches which permit dogs.
Relax in the tranquil surroundings or explore the
coves, coastal paths and unique countryside of the Lizard peninsula
near Silver Sands Holiday Park.
A short drive from Kennack Sands are the delightful
fishing villages of Cadgwith, Coverack and Mullion Cove; the beautiful
Helford River and Frenchman's Creek are also nearby. Discover the
spectacular Lizard point, Kynance Cove with its caves, Gunwalloe
and Dollar Cove and the golden beaches of Poldu Cove…………………
There are many attractions local to Kennack Sands
to keep the whole family happy and busy. Visit The Flambards Experience,
Goonhilly Earth Station or Poldark Mine; explore St Michael's Mount
or any of the many other National Trust properties; take a trip
to the National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Paradise Park or the Zoo
at Newquay.
Kennack Sands is well placed for visiting Trebah,
Trevarno, Glendurgan or any one of the many gardens in the area.
Energetic swimmers can surf in the mild Gulf Stream
waters or try diving, fishing, sailing or sail boarding (windsurfing).
For others there is fishing, riding and golf nearby or just relaxing
on a beach or at Silver Sands Holiday Park. In the evening you may
chose to enjoy a barbeque, visit one of the many local restaurants
or simply sit on a beach and watch a beautiful sunset.
The "quaint, old, Cornish" town of Helston, home
of the Flora Dance, is nearby from where there is a bus service
to the local hamlet of Kuggar. Kuggar is also served by the Lizard
Rambler bus service.
