Family Holidays in a stunning part of North Cornwall, halfway between Bodmin Moor and the sea. Set in a stunning location without the crowds - ideally situated for visiting Port Isaac, Tintagel, Polzeath, Rock, Padstow (and the Camel Trail) - plus North Cornwall's many other holiday attractions - or simply for walking/cycling holidays exploring this stunning region.
The Camel Trail Cycle path is just two miles. Established along a disused railway line, the path runs along the western edge of the Camel Estuary. The Camel Trail has stunning sea views and is ideal for cycling. You can hire bicycles in Wadebridge or Padstow. The estuary itself is often home to dolphins.
The Eden Project, the 8th wonder of the world, Pencarrow historic house and gardens, and many of the beautiful gardens of Cornwall are within easy reach.
St. Tudy is often used as a Filming location for TV and Film adaptations of the Rosamunde Pilcher Novels, whilst the nearby fishing village of Port Isaac is the location for the Doc Martin TV Series. The 2002 Comedy horticultural film, Saving Grace starring Brenda Blethyn and Craig Ferguson, also used St. Tudy as a Film location. The well stocked village shop is 600 yards away. Pick your own strawberries and raspberries at Pencarrow only five minutes away and then buy your Cornish clotted cream in the shop and have a cream tea on the patio. Stroll round to the village pub which is excellent and have a drink or some food. There is virtually no traffic on the way to the pub 650 yards away. The nearest beach is 35 minutes away, while the South Coast beaches can be reached in less than 1 hour.
