Accommodation Penweir Cottage is an ideal base for active summer holidays and a warm and peaceful home from home during the winter months. The cottage was built in 1885 and retains many original features, including wooden beams, a wood-burning stove and an open fire that complements the central heating. It has been recently renovated to make the cottage light and airy with wood flooring and a neutral décor. The living room is pleasantly arranged with comfortable seating, a dining area and window seating for your gaze to linger on the south facing garden. The kitchen is well equipped, with all new appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and hob/oven. Upstairs there is an elegantly decorated master bedroom, housing a king size wooden sleigh bed with feather pillows and duvet and has an en-suite shower room. A second bedroom has 2 single beds with a third pull-out bed available, or it can be made into a 6 foot king size bed. Next to the bedroom is a large bathroom, beautifully decorated and with a separate powerful shower. Outside the south facing garden is pleasantly planted with mature shrubs and flower borders, it has plenty of seating and is great for children to play hide and seek! In addition, to the west of the garden is a large park with swings, etc. The 26hedge provides the opportunity to watch your little ones playing while enjoying a glass of wine or a cup of tea sitting on the patio. There is parking to the front of the house. |

Location We are a short drive from the North coast and the bustling town of Wadebridge and the Camel Estuary, Padstow and Port Isaac. Within 3 miles there are a handful of really good food pubs. There is something for everyone here, whether it's walking across Bodmin moor, surfing at Polzeath, wind surfing or childrens swimming at Daymer Bay, sailing and waterskiing at Rock, cycling the Camel Trail or walking the coastal path. If you prefer the quiet life, the South facing garden at Penweir provides a haven to sit and relax with perhaps a gentle stroll to the pub or a breath of fresh air in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The garden is fenced and we welcome dogs. |
