The warm and unique Ocean Lounge invites you to relax after a golf outing or to have a drink prior to having dinner in the Crystal Restaurant.

In the Crystal Restaurant we aim to delight the connoisseur of fine food and wine.

Wherever possible we use carefully selected local produce, expertly prepared by our chef to uphold the Penarvor's high reputation for dishes of British and European origin.

A five course table d'hôte menu with a choice of all courses and a full a la carte menu which includes prime Devon Steaks and Bude Bay Lobsters is on offer each night. Wine to compliment the food and suit most palates will be found on our wine list featuring fine wines from around the world at reasonable prices.

The hotel overlooks one of Bude's famous surfing beaches, which during the summer months is patrolled by professional life-guards, giving safe bathing right on our doorstep.

For those who enjoy walking, the hotel is adjacent to the National Trust's Heritage Coast. Cliffs run north to Hartland Point and beyond, with bracing views from some of Britain's highest cliffs, dotted with clumps of pink candytuft where the ozone-laced air comes fresh off the Atlantic.

The harbour and canal workings give a glimpse of Bude's past, which has grown from a working port during the last century into a delightful holiday town that has changed little since John Betjeman described it as one of the least spoilt of resorts. For the active and the not so active, Bude offers a variety of sporting activities throughout the year.

For the golfer and jazz enthusiast, the Hotel Penarvor offers special golfing holidays and jazz weekends.

From the Hotel Penarvor a profusion of places are within easy travelling distance. To the north is the picturesque village of Clovelly and to the south are Boscastle and Tintagel, famous for the legend of King Arthur. Bude is surrounded by villages with ancient churches and pretty cottages, all worth visiting.

Whatever your type of holiday you will find the Hotel Penarvor the ideal venue to explore this unspoilt part of Cornwall.
