There is a pleasant, small tidal beach in the harbour area. While only a hundred yards along the shore path there are delightful rock pools where children can play and fish to their hearts content. Nearby there is also, during the summer, a cafe with a panoramic view across the bay as far as The Lizard. There are several excellent larger beaches within the area, including Porthcurno, Sennen and St Ives. |

Like most of the traditional homes in the village, the Old Post Office was built of Cornish granite. Dating from the days of horse-drawn vehicles, no allowance was made for parking in front of the house. However, today loading and unloading is not a problem and there are car parks nearby. It is regretted that pets cannot be accommodated. |
