Treknow is a charming hamlet situated in the parish of Tintagel on the North coast of Cornwall. Trebarwith Strand beach is only a 15 minute walk down the coastal path and is popular for surfing.
Tintagel, with its selection of gift shops, cafes and pubs is only 1 mile away. Renowned for its associated with the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, the ruins of Tintagel Castle (built in the 13th century) are within walking distance along the coastal path. In the heart of Tintagel is the 14th century Old Post Office, now cared for by the National Trust.
Only 3 miles away lies the unspoilt harbour village of Boscastle. The family-orientated seaside resort of Bude is just half an hour's drive, as is Wadebridge from where you can cycle along the Camel trail to Padstow. Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame) is a picturesque fishing village 10 miles away and Cornwall's top tourist attraction, the Eden Project, can be reached within 45 minutes. Also within 45 minutes is vibrant Newquay.
