Holidays in Boscastle, a picturesque fishing village tucked away in the southwest corner of England, offer an idyllic retreat for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled amidst lush green hillsides and overlooking the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean, this charming village boasts an irresistible mix of breathtaking natural beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality.
Boscastle's harbour is another highlight, bustling with activity throughout the holiday season. Colorful fishing boats come and go, laden with fresh catches of mackerel, bass, and lobster. Visitors can watch the fishermen at work or even try their hand at a spot of crabbing themselves.
North Cornwall is a beautiful and diverse part of the country. A paradise for walkers, the wild flowers are stunning, birds and butterflies a plenty.
A wonderful place for all seasons. Sheltered wooded valleys, the Coastal footpath with its magnificent views. From small coves where few venture to the best surfing beaches in the country.
Trebarwith Strand, Crackington Haven, Watergate Bay and many more for your day on the beach to surf or just to explore.
Port Isaac and Padstow are within easy reach. Hire cycles from Wadebridge, and cycle along the Camel Trail to Padstow (feast on Rick Steins fish and chips), before cycling back to Wadebridge.
Bodmin Moor is one of the least known places in the South West (what a gem), with Roughtor and Brown Willy just two of the beautiful places to walk, (very close to Boscastle).
Boscastle is an excellent base for touring the area. It has old cottages dating back to the 15th Century, we are in the middle of this stunning unspoilt village. The harbour is a much busier place with visitors by day. There is an information centre, paper shop, bakers, grocery store, and several places to eat.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project are in easy reach by car with many more National Trust Houses and Gardens, within easy travelling distance.
Cornwall is magical, full of surprises if you are willing to venture out.
