Prices range from £300 - £500 per week Visitors are asked to bring their own sheets, duvet covers and towels. Tea-towels are provided. Changeover day - Friday. Please arrive after 2.00pm and depart before 10.00am. WARNING The position of Mermaid Cottage with access straight onto the rocks may pose a problem for those with adventurous toddlers and may not lead to a very relaxing holiday for parents!

Traditional fisherman's cottage
overlooking the sea!

Mermaid Cottage forms part of a terrace of very old fisherman's cottages built right into the rocks on the north side of Portmellon Cove.

Its situation, with commanding views overlooking the sea, is quite magical and second to none.

The cottage has been renovated to a good standard but it retains much of its character and charm.

At high tide one can dive from the rocks in front of the cottage and swim in deep water and at low tide it's a simple climb down to the sandy beach and rock pools below. Lovely cliff walks can be taken from the cottage itself.

Cottage visitors also benefit from the free use of the heated indoor swimming pool (and sauna for a small charge) at nearby Bodrugan Farm.

ACCOMMODATION

Mermaid Cottage comprises of:-

Middle Floor
This is the main entrance from the road. The sitting room has easy chairs a wood burner style electric heater, TV and DVD/VCR player, bed settee.

The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, WC and basin.

Top Floor
Bedroom 1 has two pairs of sturdy bunk beds and leads into bedroom 2, a double bedroom with a washbasin.

Bottom Floor
Consists of the kitchen/dining room dominated by a large open fireplace and a table, which comfortably seats six. The recently installed kitchen has a modern electric oven/grill, induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine.

The shower/wet room includes a WC basin and electric shower ideal for washing down after a day on the beach. A small lobby for coats and boots leads out onto the patio.

Patio
With commanding views of the sea, across to Chapel Point and the beach below it's a great place for eating outside or just simply taking the sun and watching the world go by. The patio adjoins the cottage next door, has seating and a table. Steps lead down to a lower patio and the rocks.

Parking
Mermaid Cottage has two allocated parking spaces just a few minutes walk from the cottage.

LOCATION

Located a ¼ of a mile South of the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey, the cottage is ideally situated in a central location for touring Cornwall.
