Situated
on the seaward side of the Warren in a conservation area of St Ives, this
stylish cottage retains many of its period features. Perched above a large
outcrop of blue elvin rock, next to Porthminster Beach, the large picture
windows frame a spectacular outlook from St Ives harbour to Godrevy lighthouse.
Relax on the window seat and watch the world go by, boats moving in and out of the harbour, the lifeboat launch and various wildlife including seals, dolphins and cormorants.
The house is perfect for holidays at any time of the year. In the winter stay warm inside whilst watching the waves crash over the rocks below. During fine weather, look out over the azure blue sea or walk the few steps to the golden sands of Porthminister beach.
When not taking advantage of the many St Ives restaurants
on your doorstep, you will find the kitchen fully equipped to cater for
all your needs.
With double Belfast sink, oak and granite work surfaces and all the usual
modern requirements. There is a dining area seating 8.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one has spectacular seaviews and a king-size bed, where you can sleep to the sound of the sea.
The second bedroom has ziplink beds, which can either be 2 x 2ft 6” singles or zipped together to make another king.There are also 2 shower rooms on this floor.
The third bedroom is on the second floor, again with outstanding seaviews this room is L shaped and has a large double bed and a comfortable armchair to while away the hours. There is an LCD tv and dvd player, and room for a cot or an extra single bed on request.
Until end of Oct 2012 the rental includes use of a Porthminster Beach Cabin handy for storing beach paraphernalia during the week.
Men an Mor has previously been home to both fishermen and artists. The inspirational views create a wonderful and atmospheric place for a holiday in St Ives.
Facilities All rentals include quality bedlinen, towels and utilities. The cottage has 2 x LCD tv’s with freeview, dvd players and a large selection of dvds and books. There are various integrated appliances including a large fan oven, ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher, free standing freezer, washing machine and separate tumble drier. The lounge contains a large sofa which converts to a single or king size fully sprung bed. A plastic baby bath is available. This is a no smoking cottage.

The Apartment is superbly situated on the rocks, next to Porthminster beach, with wide uninterrupted views from St Ives harbour to Godrevy lighthouse.
A fabulous spot for watching the changing scenery, whatever the weather. In winter, snuggle inside on the comfy window seat to watch the waves crashing over the rocks. On a fine day, sit out on the balcony and wonder at the fantastic far-reaching views.

The décor is simple, with white painted walls decorated with works by local artists and pine floorboards. A large window seat is recessed into the granite, from here you can spot cormorants and seals.
The Apartment occupies 2 floors, entrance is to a large open plan room containing a living area with double sofa bed, large window seat and a dining area positioned to take full advantage of the views through the double patio doors.
There is a bedroom up 3 stairs with a comfortable fully pocket sprung mattress, a half wall divides this room from the living area, so you can sit in bed and watch the ever changing seaviews.
From the dining area a spiral staircase leads to the Kitchen, with porthole.
Location The
Apartment occupies 2 floors and has its own entrance on the seaward side
of the Warren. It is situated between the pale golden sands of Porthminster
beach and St Ives harbour. The train station and Car Park are a 3 minute
walk.
All rentals
include quality bedlinen and towels and utilities. The Apartment is fully
double glazed and has a 20” LCD tv with freeview, dvd player and a selection
of DVDs and books.
The kitchen has a full sized cooker with fan oven, microwave, and a Bosch fridge with small freezer compartment. Smoking is permitted on the balcony but not inside the Apartment.
Access Please
note there are granite steps and a metal walkway across the seaward
side of the building. Access is not suitable for the infirm, young children
or dogs.
