MapNotes

This is an example of the I.A.Recordings Industrial Archaeology MapNotes for one British Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 series map.
INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY RECORDINGS have produced these notes over the years for our own use as a concise digest of industrial sites in a given area.
As you would expect, most of the historic industry in Cornwall is tin or copper mining!
Each numbered entry has a National Grid Reference (NGR) code, such as SW 697 494. This code is the coordinate system of the British Ordnance Survey (OS) and may be used to locate a site on any map printed with an NGR grid.

Map 203 - covering Land's End, the South-western extremity of the Cornish peninsula.

Watch out for more to follow soon !

Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy, no responsibility is accepted by I.A.Recordings or its members for any errors in these notes, or for the actions of any person visiting any of the sites.
