Delightfully situated cottage and house in an idyllic hamlet. South-facing gardens with path running down to the water's edge offering peace and tranquillity, in the very centre of Cornwall.
The Nature Conservancy Council have made this part of the estuary 'a site of special interest'. At low tide fishermen can dig for bait and the ornithologist may quietly watch some 65 species of beautiful birds exploring the river banks. The heronry opposite will give hours of enjoyment whether you are inside the cottages or outside, having a drink and perhaps a barbecue while enjoying the panoramic views.
Whether you want an active holiday or just a few days in the sun, the area is ideal. It is a walker's paradise. The sheltered waters provide a good base for the sailing enthusiast, and the river offers bass, mackerel, whiting and pollack to provide sport for the fisherman. There are scenic river trips from Malpas down to St. Mawes and Falmouth. Tennis courts, swimming pool, golf and a golf driving range are close by. With Truro, a cathedral city, only three miles away, you are able to enjoy excellent shopping and restaurant facilities. Malpas has its own Post Office and shop and the Heron Inn public house.
Within easy motoring distance of your cottage you will find many sheltered sandy coves on the south coast, the picturesque Roseland and beautiful wooded Helford river, famous gardens and heritage properties.
Riverside is ideal for fishermen, birdwatchers, ramblers, yachtsmen and families alike.
