The old miners cottage of 25 Halsetown in
the historic village of Halsetown, a mile from St Ives, looks out over
Rosewell Hill, over the rolling countryside to the sea in the distance.
It is a cosy 17th century cottage, Nina and Clive will give you a warm,
friendly welcome to the house which is cool and shady in the summer and
warm in the winter.
The tasty Cornish breakfast is served with
views of open countryside and horses grazing in the adjoining fields.
25 Halsetown is the perfect base to explore
the galleries of St Ives and the wonderful coastal walks to Zennor.
 
Accommodation
Your arrival in Halsetown at our B & B,
which is located in one of the most beautiful of country views. We will
welcome you to our old mining cottage which offers a very relaxed environment,
the cottage has the charm and homely feeling with plenty of space for
you to relax after your journey.
Our two letting bedrooms offer very comfortable
double beds, TV, tea and coffee facilities. They share an attractive bathroom
but when only one room is occupied you have exclusivity.
In addition there is the very welcoming kitchen/dining
area where you will enjoy the option of a great Cornish breakfast or a
selection of cereals, toast with marmalade or honey. You may want to relax
before starting out on your adventures in a very comfortable lounge area
to plan your day. Hoping the weather is favourable then you have the choice
to sit in the garden before setting off.
 
St Ives
Dropping into St Ives you will locate its
very attractive harbour front with iconic views and a whole host of refreshment
facilities. The selection of four beautiful beaches allows the freedom
to enjoy golden sand and sea activities, or a laze in the sun whatever
your preference.
The winding streets have a wide variety of
shops that offer most peoples needs whether they be gifts from Cornish
fudge to some of the greatest art work in the country. There is a huge
range of places to eat from the simplest of bistros to the most sophisticated
of restaurants serving local seafood, and international cuisine.
There are a wide variety of adventures in
St Ives from a boat trip to Seal Island to self drive boats around the
harbour and bay Famous places to visit in the town will be the Tate Gallery,
Barbara Hepworth Museum, Leach Pottery and the St Ives Museum.
Many of you will be happy to lie on the beach
and watch the fisherman bring in their catch off the boats. Keep your
eye out for the seals hoping for a few free sprats!
