Freathy Farmhouse is nestled in the heart of a secluded country lane offering peace, luxuriously appointed rooms, organic homemade food, healing massage, soft white lavender scented bedding, breath taking scenery and coastal walks. Truly a very special place to unwind. Freathy Farmhouse was built in 1702 and is set in a peaceful and unspoilt part of Cornwall, the Rame Peninsula. We offer our guests friendly comfortable accommodation with attention to detail being uppermost in our minds. Vintage beds, lavender scented white bed linen, sumptuous deep mattresses, duvets and pillows, homemade and locally sourced food. Unwind with a healing massage, or order a fully laden vintage picnic hamper to take on your travels, or simply settle in the garden for a Cornish cream tea or traditional high tea or have a twilight BBQ with your family that you can prepare yourself. All our rooms are bright and airy, with unique décor and furnishings with tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen colour TV's and CD/DVD players. Wi-Fi is accessible in the house. Guests have access to a bright lounge where they will find magazines, books, newspapers, and knitting! Life is at your pace, so breakfast is served when you want it (within reason) either in the farmhouse kitchen, in the garden or in your room, and consists of a variety of fruits, yogurt, granola, homemade bread and preserves, American pancakes, full English breakfast with our own free range eggs and so much more…..Locally there are a wealth of wonderful attractions to visit, breath-taking walks, and quaint Cornish villages with excellent waterfront places to dine. Freathy is located on the Rame Peninsula known as Cornwalls 'Forgotten Corner'. Local beaches are extremely popular with surfers. The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand were once renowned for smuggling, and Mount Edgcumbe Estate is home to the national camellia collection. There are several National Trust properties not least of all Antony House where Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland was recently filmed. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are easily accessible. We also have a vintage tea room/gallery/shop stocked with local craft people's gorgeous and unique work ,where you can find that special gift for yourself or your family.
