Located close to the sandy beach, pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. Padstow, Newquay and the Eden Project are within easy reach. Golf and coarse fishing are nearby.
The sandy beach of Mawgan Porth is just a five minute walk from our self catering accommodation, and on the other side of the beach are The Merrymoor pub with a restaurant, the Off The Beach Cafe, Betty’s the newsagent where you can book surf school lessons with Pete Abell of Kingsurf, a small supermarket and delicatessen complete with off licence at the old garage, and a superb pitch and putt. That’s not bad for a small village, is it?
Generations of families have visited this beautiful Cornish destination for years. Lesser known and unspoilt, Mawgan Porth beach is located on the stunning North Cornwall Coast.
Regarded by locals as one of the top surfing destinations in Cornwall, it hosts a range of quality waves throughout the tides catering for the beginner surfer right through to the more advanced. There are seasonal lifeguards on duty and with the local surf school 'King Surf' operating you can be ensured the beach is carefully monitored.
It is of no surprise that Mawgan Porth has been featured on holiday programmes such as 'Holiday Home Sweet Home', and Dawn French recently chose Mawgan Porth as the venue for her secret wedding.
