Traditional granite-fronted holiday cottages in Mousehole Village .
MOUSEHOLE has to be one of the most beautiful and unspoilt fishing villages in England - most of our visitors fall completely in love with it, adults and children alike.
Set around the tidal harbour with its huge walls to protect it from winter storms, it is full of picturesque cottages and winding paths. Mousehole harbour is the true heart of the village (few houses have gardens) where you can potter or just sit and soak up the views.
As well as beach areas, the harbour offers safe swimming.
A short walk from the harbour there is a natural sea-bathing pool.
Mousehole is also famous for its spectacular Christmas/New Year lights. The local legend of fisherman Tom Bawcock, who saved the village from winter starvation, is beautifully told in Antonia Barber's book "The Mousehole Cat" and the animated film.
Many day-trips in easy reach- Penzance, St Ives, Sennen Cove, Marazion and St Michael's Mount, Minack Theatre, Land's End, coastpath to Lamorna Cove.
Facilities: The Ship Inn, two excellent restaurants (2
Fore Street and the Old Coastguard Hotel), cafes, souvenir shops, galleries,
little shop/post office, fish and chip shop. Plenty of shops in nearby
Newlyn and Penzance.
