Bramble Cottage
sleeping 4 people
spectacular sea views over Mousehole
harbour, St Michael’s Mount, Mounts Bay and the Lizard Peninsula
Situated in the unspoilt and picturesque Cornish
fishing village of Mousehole (pronounced “Mousul” in Cornish) just
3 miles from Penzance. The cottage is in a prominent position.
Mousehole is an excellent centre for exploring
all of West Cornwall whether walking or touring, with many fishing
coves, rugged moors and magnificent coastal scenery.

Market/seaside towns such as St lves, Falmouth, Helston
and Truro are all near by as well as Penzance and Newlyn
All windows command spectacular sea views
over Mousehole harbour, St Michael’s Mount, Mounts Bay and the
Lizard Peninsula. The cottage is all on the same level except the
2nd bedroom which is downstairs.
The lounge/diner has a large seated bay window with
views to the harbour below. It has a TV player, Radio/CD player
and a “clearview wood burner” stove with complimentary 1st
basket of hardwood logs provided for those cosy out of season evenings
- this only needs lighting in the winter months as Mousehole is
on the Gulf Stream and this heating is seldom needed but there are
portable heaters for taking the chill off. The whole property is
fully furnished.
The kitchen is fitted with the usual appliances including
a microwave oven. The main bedroom has a double bed and is half
pine timbered, as is most of the property.
Access to the lower 2nd bedroom is by a traditional
steep cottage staircase and has two single beds.
A high standard of cleanliness is assured and decoration
is to a high standard also, carried out by the owner himself. Electricity
is by meter (£l coins).

At the front of the property is a white railed patio
area with patio table and chairs (very pleasant for morning coffee,
reading etc. while enjoying the views).
Flambards Theme Park (the largest in Cornwall)
is only 30 minutes drive and the Eden Project l hours drive. Also
there are several very pretty coves/beaches on the coastal path
from Mousehole (Bramble Cottage is on it) to Land’s End including
Lamorna Cove, Logan Rock, Treen, St Leven, the famous “Minack” open
air theatre and Porthcurno.
