Upper Floor

Bedroom #1 This bedroom is situated at the front of the house, overlooking the blue-decked terrace from where there is a fantastic view of the Tate Gallery. Accommodation consists of a king-size iron bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside light. The floors throughout the house are the original wide pine boards stripped and polished. Pictures include work available from The Picture House by Rachel Cockerell and Tracey Goldsmith.

Bedroom #2 At the back of the house with views to the beach and across to the Fishermen’s Chapel on The Island Accommodation consists of twin iron beds (3’ wide), wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, chair and bedside light. Small work space suits writer or painter. Original stripped pine boards and textured rug. Pictures include oils by Alisia Hyslop whose work is available from The Goldfish Bowl.

Bathroom The bathroom is newly built, includes bath, perspex shower barrier, washbasin and toilet, showerproof wall radio and constant hot water. Stairs are carpeted in deep blue Wilton. Posters by Rachel Cockerell and Tracey Goldsmith, available from The Picture House. Wall snake at foot of stairs by Bob Wilcox, local artist.

Ground Floor

Kitchen The kitchen has brand new units in St Ives sea green, with a glass-fronted old pine dresser and original Cornish range that was used for cooking up until 12 years ago. New appliances include a cooker, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, radio/CD player, toaster, kettle, blender/grinder and Oreck vacuum cleaner. All utensils are St Ives blue and the table extends to seat six.

Living Room The living room is furnished with a sofa, chairs, silver tables, pine glass-fronted bookcase, open fireplace, Eclipse posters and prints. Television, video player, pine boards with a sea-green and blue rug.

Outside

Sun Terrace The front of the house provides access to the Blue House's own personal sun terrace where visitors are invited to recline on deck-chairs and soak up the rays. The sun terrace also provides an excellent view of the nearby Tate Gallery.

Car Parking Parking spaces are like gold dust in St Ives. We have the good fortune to be able to offer you one covered parking space in a secure garage at the extra cost of £50.00 per week. Please state on your application if you wish to reserve this for the duration of your booking.

Tariff range:

High season: Bank holidays, half-terms, last two weeks of July, whole of August and first week of September, Christmas and New Year. £525.00 pw.

Mid Season: The whole of May, June and first two weeks of July, rest of September, and October. £375.00 pw.

Closed: November through till end of April. Fisherman's cottage, beautifully updated yet inclusive of original Cornish range in kitchen, sleeps four adults, all modern conveniences and separate parking space available in secure garage for £55.00 extra pw (parking spaces like gold dust in St Ives).
