Nestling in a peaceful hamlet in the Allen Valley, this delightful period cottage is surrounded by large and beautiful cottage gardens, which are a riot of colour in the spring and summer and are a real haven for bird life.

One of a pair (both cottages are under the same ownership) it is tastefully decorated & furnished and the slate floors, exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces enhance its country appeal.

ACCOMMODATION

The ground floor accommodation comprises:

Living room with wood-burning stove set in an inglenook fireplace, exposed beams, television with digital Freeview, DVD player & CD/cassette player and French windows to the garden; Dining-room with an ornamental inglenook fireplace and exposed beams; Modern fitted kitchen with oven, hob, fridge and microwave, a feature fireplace which houses an oil burning stove providing heating & hot water; Breakfast room; Utility room with washing machine & freezer; Separate toilet.

The first floor accommodation comprises:

Double bedroom (5ft bed) with an en-suite facility with a small bath & toilet; Twin-bedded room; Bunk-bedded room (3ft beds); Family bathroom & toilet; Separate shower room.

Large, mature gardens surround the cottage with areas laid to lawn, lots of borders & flowerbeds and a barbecue. Look out for our hidden den! There is a patio area in front of the cottage with a table and seating for 6 and a large car parking area which provides 2 car parking spaces for guests.. There are three unfenced ponds, two of which have safety covers.

We provide all linen & towels (but please bring your own beach towels) and there are no hidden extras, all fuel & electricity being included within the cottage rental. We even have a wood store with a plentiful supply of logs! For the little ones we provide a cot, high chair and a stair gate.

It is a non-smoking cottage and regretfully we cannot accept pets (other than guide dogs).

LOCATION

The family beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay are just a few miles away and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy cycling along the famous Camel Trail or walking the Cornwall Coastal Path. The villages of St Teath and St Tudy with their traditional shops and pubs are a couple of miles away.

The internationally renowned Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are each comfortably within an hour's drive and Port Isaac (Port Wenn in the Doc Martin television series) is only 15 minutes away.
