The small fishing port of Newlyn in Mounts Bay is located just to the west of Penzance. Visit the Tolcarne Inn on the sea front, serving local fish and produce. Smugglers' Restaurant, Pasta Restaurant, Newlyn Meadery, and much acclaimed Fraser's Fish and Chips, are all within an easy level walk. Selection of fish shops, refitted Co-op convenience store, Warren's bakers, Lentern's Butcher's and Lovell's Greengrocers are all within the fishing village of Newlyn.
Home of surf beaches Cornwall is known for its celebration days throughout the year - 1st May is 'Obby Horse Day in Padstow, 8th May is Flora Day in Helston, & in July is Golowan Festival in Penzance, ending with Mazey Day. August heralds Fish Festival in Newlyn, & mid September brings St Ives Arts Festival. Lastly, in mid December, is switch on day for the amazing Mousehole lights, together with Tom Bawcock's eve on the 23rd.
