Deer Park Farm is a 280-acre family run beef; sheep and arable farm set in the tranquil surroundings of the unspoilt Tamar Valley and enjoys stunning views across to Dartmoor. Formally owned and farmed by HRH Prince Charles, Duke of Cornwall, the area is steeped in History dating back to the 14th century when it was an ancient Royal Deer Park. Today visitors are welcome to see the many farming activities throughout the seasons from lambing in the springtime through silage and haymaking and into harvest in autumn. |

Our Holiday Cottages Deer park Farm holiday accommodation in the Tamar valley comprises three self-catering Holiday Cottages, delightfully converted from traditional stone barns, the conversion having allowed many original features to be retained. ROE: FALLOW: SIKA: All the cottages are fully furnished and well equipped and have night storage heaters, Mains electricity (metered supply). Each cottage contains a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/diner with colour TV (VCR available for hire), Bathrooms have bath with shower and WC. All beds have Duvets. Each cottage is fully centra heate In addition a communal laundry room offers all washing facilities with automatic washing machine. Cot and Highchair FOC. The Local Area includes the peaceful Tamar Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty with its spectacular scenery and wealth of mining history, offers a variety of walks and trails. Kit Hill Country Park and Luckett Nature Reserve both supporting wildlife including rare orchids and the Fritillary butterfly. Local National Trust properties include Cotehele, Buckland Abbey and Antony House all within reasonable driving distance. The bordering River Tamar sports both salmon fishing and canoe expeditions locally. St. Mellion Golf and Country Club boasts two 18-hole courses and the WORLD FAMOUS EDEN PROJECT is around 30 miles away at St Austell. Also available locally are riding schools, pony trekking on Dartmoor and sports centres. The south coast and its fine sandy beaches are only 30 minutes drive. Nearby the quaint old fishing villages of Looe and Polperro offer shark fishing and sea angling. Back along the coast, the historic city of Plymouth with its famous Hoe and Barbican has a wide range of shops and entertainment. For local amenities the ancient market towns of Liskeard, Launceston and Tavistock offer shops and leisure activities.
