The award winning ‘The Riverside’ is situated in the beautiful village of Boscastle in North Cornwall.

Nestled in a secluded valley, we have a thirteen bedroom establishment catering for walkers, cyclists, day trippers or holiday breaks. In addition, overlooking the River Valency, the Riverside’s restaurant and teagarden is a great spot to relax with family and friends. We offer teas, coffees, lunches, homemade cakes, Cornish Cream Teas and evening meals.

Awarded ‘Five Star Guest Accommodation’ in November 2010 with Silver and Breakfast Award. The Riverside is rated by VisitBritain as a five star guesthouse but is offering many of the services of a hotel. This is the sixth year that we have been graded as a five star establishment.

With many spacious rooms with river or harbour views, The Riverside has all the facilities you should require including: full en-suite facilities (shower or bath), freshly laundered towels and bath mats, full central heating with individual thermostatic controls, tea and coffee making facilities, 26" LCD televisions, DVD players, wireless Internet access and hairdryers.

A full English breakfast is included in the room price and is served between 8:30am and 10:30 am and includes the following: traditional large or medium full English breakfast or combination, smoked kippers, smoked haddock, smoked salmon, freshly brewed coffee or tea, fruit juices and cereals. We have the prestigious ‘Breakfast Award’ from VisitBritain that recognises establishments that offer their guests a quality and choice of breakfast, service and hospitality that exceeds what would be expected at their star rating. It helps visitors find those places where the owners, managers, chefs and staff have gone the extra mile to ensure the breakfast will exceed expectations.

The Riverside offers a choice of services when it comes to its restaurant. For a formal affair with the evening restaurant setup elegantly for a superb dining experience. Here you can choose from an à la carte menu with exceptional food complemented by an extensive list of fine wines. Alternatively, the daytime tearoom is perfect for informal lunches, meals and afternoon teas. Leading from the dining room is access to our exclusive teagarden next to the running waters of the River Valency.

Providing an extensive menu by day and a full Grill and "Al a Carte" menu by night, The Riverside Restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, uses local suppliers to offer a wide selection of regional produce including locally caught fish, farmed meats and fresh vegetables daily. All of the meats used by the restaurant are locally reared and the fish is landed locally. The Char-Grill menu includes a selection of steaks (including sirloin, rib eye, rump) served to your liking, with the trimmings served on a sizzling platter. Locally landed fish are displayed in the main menu and change daily.

The Riverside is only five minutes from the South West Coastal path and Boscastle Harbour, but is situated in the centre of the village. We are adjacent to all amenities, with excellent restaurants and pubs nearby.

For one night stays, there is a supplement of £5.00 per room. We are able to accommodate single occupancy groups such as walking parties. Credit or debit card details are taken as full confirmation of your reservation by telephone. All reservations are made on the basis of seven days minimum notice of cancellation or curtailment.
